Youth Ministry

Welcome to the homepage of “CHOSEN”, the GCF Youth Department.  We are eager to share what is going on in our department.

2010 was full of exciting changes!  We moved into our new classrooms! We now have separate classrooms for our middle school and high school classes, with more room to grow.  The classrooms can be accessed only through mall so it is a safe place for our kids.

We had an overnight lock-in and a beach party during the summer.  We attended Rock the Universe at Universal Studios.  We recently had a very successful car wash to raise money for our trip to Rock the Universe this year!

We also have a very special event scheduled for August 7, 2011 at 6:30.  It is a night of worship and entertainment entirely presented by the youth.  The youth band will lead worship and other teens will perform individual talents.  The celebration will wrap up with a skit that carries a very powerful message that we pray will touch and change lives.  Come and see what we have been up to!

We have many committed young people in our groups that are looking forward to becoming more involved in local missions by going out into our area to share the Word of God and minister to those in need.

Our entire curriculum is based on the Word of God in a language that is fresh and applicable to the daily challenges our teenagers face.

Our teachers are Deanna Stowe and Joshua Culmone in the high school class, and Reanna Nordgren and Matt Gelinas-Hall in the middle school class.

Our vision is to arm the next generation of warriors with the tools they need to fight and win the battle for the Kingdom of God.

Our planned activities for 2011-2012 include:

  • Distributing bottles of water at local events and beaches
  • A picnic and volleyball at the beach
  • Rock the Universe in the fall.
  • A lock-in during the spring break
