The Israelites that went into the promised land with Joshua saw the mighty acts of God and believed Jud. 2:7 Sadly, though the next generation did not know the Lord nor His work He had done for Israel. No generation can live off the faith of the previous generation. When faced with trouble, the faith that is not personalized will fail. Many who are 2nd, 3rd or 4th gen. Christians enjoy God's salvation. However, there's no secondhand faith. God does not have any grandchildren. Our faith must be a personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. |
