Starting A Grace Christian Fellowship

God's blessings to you Pastor !

I am happy to hear from you and to know of your interest in becoming a part of our worldwide network of churches. We believe the Lord has called us to begin new churches and to gather other existing churches who desire to be partners together in a worldwide network and effort to bring people to faith in Jesus Christ and to teach them to be Christ's followers. There is much I want to share with you. Please visit our website regularly to be a source of comfort and inspiration to you and your family. The web site is www.g-c-f.org

Our desire is to have Grace Christian Fellowships all over the world. If you desire to become a part of our ministry together, there are several things you must agree to. I will list them for you and at the bottom of this email attached the details of each point.

1. You must be willing to have the same vision as we do. this vision is "To be the most loving church possible." (The Great Commandment)

2. You must be willing to have the same mission as we have. This mission is "To share this loving model of church life all over the world." (The Great Commission)

3. You must be willing to agree with the 7 basic doctrines of a Grace Christian fellowship (see below)

4. We ask for you to name your church Grace Christian Fellowship of ............. (you fill in the area, town or village, or city). But this is not absolutely necessary if you already have a name and want to keep that name.

5. You must be willing to contribute 10% of your regular offerings (a tithe) into your national mission’s board for support of all the missionary activity in your nation. WE all place our 10% in our worldwide missionary Fund that all of it is used to help support pastors and churches around the world. Some of the funds supplies books and literature to churches, some is for equipment that pastors and churches can use for their ministry, and some is actual financial support to our church planters who work almost fulltime helping to plant new churches. By you contributing to this fund, you and your church are helping all of us to fulfill the Lord's command to go into the entire world and make disciples. Even if your offerings are very small, that does not matter. What matters is that we are all obedient to the Lord in giving to reach the world. Each church that gives into this fund can receive a monthly report of the finances from that national Mission Board so that everyone can see what they are doing with the money. No particular commitment is made to any one church because it depends on how much money we have as to how much we can sow into other ministries.

6. You must be willing to have your church and church leadership go through the special Bible study book we have written called, "The Forgotten Commandment." This book was written specifically to help each new church truly understand what it means to be the most loving church possible. It will help each of your people know how to love one another just like Jesus has commanded us to. The book is only in English at this time. Regarding the book "The Forgotten Commandment" it is under the Bible Study section of the website and you can download it there if possible. You can click on any of the flags in the upper left hand corner of the website and it will translate the text in about 9 different languages that you could print out if one of those languages are easier for you than English. I could also send you the text in an email attachment if you like. That way you can have access to the book for study. If possible you or someone you trust can translate the book in your common language too. If you translate the book, please send me by email or mail a copy of your translation. There are many translations already in process.

7. You must be willing to agree to be in touch with me on some kind of regular basis through the Internet so that we can stay in touch. We may also provide others from our church here who will stay in touch with you also through the Internet. In addition, I need for you to register on our website and participate in the Bible Study section with the Pastor's Open Discussion. This will help us all to have a connection together on the web site. I realize you may not have regular access to the Internet, so please join in when you can.

That is about all for now. If you are willing to agree to these things, then you are fully welcomed in the Grace Christian Fellowship family and network of churches all over the world! I want you to know you are loved! I will add you to my daily prayer list of pastors and families I pray for. When you are able to get back with me concerning your decision, I will announce this in our church and have special prayer in a service that we will broadcast all over the world and will be available on the internet videos on our website.

Again, please let me know as soon as possible, especially concerning how many books (The Forgotten Commandment) you need to begin with. God bless you and your family and I look forward to hearing back from you very soon!!

Love, Pastor Paul

Here are the 3 ongoing principles of relationship, 7 doctrinal beliefs, and the Points of uniqueness of Grace Christian fellowships:

3 General and Ongoing Principles of Relationship and Commitment

1. Adoption of and commitment to the Vision, Covenant, Points of Uniqueness, and 7 Basic Doctrines of a Grace Christian Fellowship.

2. Church leadership will engage in regular communication with the leadership of Grace Christian Fellowship of Brevard, for the purpose of discipleship, training, support, and encouragement. This contact will take the form of Internet, phone, and/or face-to-face experiences.

3. A commitment of no more than 10% of your general offerings will be provided to the national Mission’s Board of Grace Christian Fellowship in your nation for the purpose of supporting the ministry to the worldwide network of Grace Christian Fellowships across the globe. This is essentially a tithe into our cooperative missionary work together.

7 Basic Doctrinal Beliefs:

1.The Bible is the word of God and is to be the final source of authority in all matters of faith and practice.

2. There is only one God who is revealed in a triune nature, God the Father, God the Son (Jesus Christ) and God the Holy Spirit. God can be intimately known by everyone but cannot be fully known by anyone.

3. On the cross, Jesus died for all of our sins, sicknesses, sufferings and shame and He is available today to provide forgiveness, healing, deliverance and restoration according to His time and will for all men.

4. God the Holy Spirit enters man's heart at the moment of salvation but there are many experiences through the filling of the Holy Spirit yet to occur in the believer's life. Also the gifts of the Holy Spirit should have open and free expression in the context of order and edification of others.

5. Man is a sinner by nature and by choice and is in need of God's work of salvation to be in right relationship with God. This work of salvation is God's work in man and not man's work for God. Man cannot add to or take away from God's work in his heart.

6. Learning to love God and other people are paramount in the Christian walk and will be stimulated and maintained through regular Bible study, prayer, worship, stewardship, evangelism, Christian service and fellowship. These are essential Christian disciplines for each believer's life. Man's spiritual growth and development is a cooperative effort between himself and God, which is basically, man properly responding to God's continual work in his heart.

7. Jesus Christ will return a second time as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. When He returns, He will rapture His church, judge the living and the dead and establish His eternal kingdom.

Points Of Uniqueness:

1. The heart and center of everything we believe and practice in our faith is directly connected to obeying the Great Commandment, "to love God and to love one another". History and current times reveal that for the most part, Christians have not had much trouble loving God. It is the loving one another that has been and is a big problem for believers. The scripture is very clear of the importance of knowing and practicing what it really means to love one another. The Apostle John clarifies that if you cannot love your brother who you can see, than you really do not love God. So, we believe loving one another is the most important attitude and activity of a Christian’s and a church’s life. We believe this is 1st Century Christianity!

2. Second to and directly connected to obeying the Great Commandment, is fulfilling the Great Commission, to share Jesus Christ and His message of love with the entire world. We believe in practicing 1st Century Christianity with 21st Century technology. Using technology available, our intention is to discover, disciple, and develop other believers and lead them into meaningful virtual church membership and/or to begin their own Grace Christian Fellowship in their own home or area. We believe wherever two or three believers gather in the name of Jesus Christ, this can be a church. Grace Christian Fellowships worldwide will provide the resources necessary for all of this to occur throughout the world, reaching and discipling the nations, building the kingdom of God, waiting for the return of our Lord Jesus Christ. In one sense, we are committed to developing "last-day churches" all over the world, seeking to affect communities and cultures for Jesus, anticipating His return.

3. All of this goes to say that we believe God wants small "family-like" churches all over the globe. Through the power of the Holy Spirit and the love of Jesus, they will influence and affect every sphere of their lives and world they live in. We are not against the bigger church, but this is not the model we find in the New Testament or the design God has called us to produce in the world.

4. We believe that the church should be very careful regarding the matter of incurring debt. If God does not provide the recourses, than something else should be seriously considered. We also believe that the use of funds to buy property or build buildings must be carefully considered. Too often these matters divert the people of God from the primary vision and purpose of the church. In the last days, buildings and property may prove to be more of a hindrance than a help for sharing the gospel and impacting the communities around us. Actually, there are so many spaces available to small groups. The 21st Century Church does not have to follow traditional times and days of having services, which opens up a multitude of potential meeting places. After all, the church is not the building! This will ultimately provide the best stewardship of finances and other resources for use in the ministry.
